About Fitty

Fitty is an AI weight-loss coach for people who know what they should be doing but can't face another spreadsheet. It exists because the hardest part of losing weight usually isn't the diet — it's keeping track of it long enough to see results.

Why we built it

Traditional calorie tracking asks a lot of you. You search a food, guess between five near-identical entries, weigh the portion, and then do it again three or four times a day. Most people quit within a few weeks — not because they don't want the result, but because the logging costs more attention than they have to give.

Fitty approaches the same problem conversationally. You say what you ate the way you'd tell a friend, and it works out the numbers. That keeps the useful part of tracking — an honest picture of your week — and drops the part that makes people give up.

What Fitty does

  • Estimates calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber from a plain-language description of what you ate.
  • Sets daily calorie and protein targets from your age, height, weight, activity level and goal.
  • Builds a meal plan from your taste quiz answers, including foods you'd rather avoid.
  • Tracks activity, daily steps and water alongside your food, all in one daily view.
  • Suggests lighter menu options at nearby restaurants for the days you eat out.
  • Shows weekly averages and trends so you're judging progress on real data, not one weigh-in.

How your targets are calculated

Your onboarding answers — age, gender, height, current weight and activity level — are used to estimate how much energy your body burns in a normal day. Fitty then subtracts a modest deficit to produce your daily calorie goal, and sets a protein goal high enough to help you hold on to muscle while you lose.

Those targets are estimates, and estimates need adjusting. Log consistently for three or four weeks; if your weight trend isn't moving the way you'd expect, update your profile so the numbers follow your real life rather than the assumptions behind them.

If you want the underlying nutrition science, our nutrition guide walks through calorie targets, protein, fiber, hydration and portion control in plain language.

How the coaching works

Conversational logging

Chat with your coach about what you ate, how a meal sat with you, or what to do about a craving. Entries land in your log without you leaving the conversation.

Meal plans from your tastes

The taste quiz covers grains, vegetables, proteins, cuisines, textures and how much effort you want to spend cooking. Plans follow those answers.

Restaurant help

Eating out is where most plans fall apart. Fitty finds nearby restaurants and suggests lighter dishes that still fit your goals.

Progress you can trust

Daily weight is noisy, so Fitty leans on weekly averages, streaks and trends — the signals that actually reflect fat loss.

What Fitty is not

Fitty is a general nutrition and fitness coaching tool, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it isn't a substitute for a doctor or a registered dietitian. If you're pregnant, managing a health condition, taking medication that affects your weight, or have a history of an eating disorder, please work with a qualified professional — and if your circumstances change, tell them what you're doing.

Your data

What you log is personal, and Fitty treats it that way. Your food, activity, water and weight entries live in your own account and are only shown inside the app once you're signed in — nothing you record is published or visible to other Fitty users.
